The reigning NBA champions are currently sixth in the Western Conference which would give them a direct playoff spot.
However, their position is far from safe. Just 2.5 games separate the Warriors from the 12th place. As for the upside, Golden State can realistically target the 4th place in the West which is occupied by the Suns.
