Darvin Ham: Lakers ‘no imminent plans’ to tap big man

Apparently, the Los Angeles Lakers are not rushing themselves to tap a frontcourt enforcer.

Following the workouts of both Tristan Thompson and Tony Bradley to the team on Monday, coach Darvin Ham said that the Lakers got “no imminent plans” to ink a big man, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

The Lakers got urgent needs for a big man that will serve as a backup for Anthony Davis. With Mo Bamba still sidelined, Thompson and Bradley were two of their initial options to call.

Thompson, a former teammate of LeBron James back in the superstar’s second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, may provide veteran presence and rebounding. The same goes for Bradley, who was just waived by the Chicago Bulls to make a room for Patrick Beverley.

Should their candidates fail to impress, L.A. got no choice to still rely on Wenyen Gabriel’s activity and wait for Bamba’s return.
