This year is the first time since the 2005-2006 season for the Kings to make the playoffs. While they still haven’t clinched a playoff spot officially, there is almost no doubt they will.
With 11 regular season games left to play, Sacramento is third in the Western Conference with 43 wins and 28 losses. A postseason spot is basically guaranteed.
The team’s star De’Aaron Fox had to wait six years before the Kings game a powerhouse in the Western Conference.
During that time when there were so many changes within the team – four head coaches and two GMs – there were times when the point guard wasn’t sure if he would be on the roster in future.

“There were times when you wondered would you still be here?” Fox told HoopsHype. “You could end up being traded as well. I always thought, at some point, the roster would fit together, and everyone would click on all cylinders. My mindset had never been, would this ever work? It was more so when would this work?”
Fox is averaging 25.5 points 4.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 24 minutes per game this season. This year he became an All-Star for the first time in his career.
