Former NBA point guard Gal Mekel looks likely to sign for Euroleague side Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, sources say.
Israeli journalist David Pick tweeted the news with Mekel, who played for Nizhny Novgorod agreeing to a three-year deal with NBA outs included.

Mekel won the Israeli league MVP award in 2011 and 2013 before heading to the Dallas Mavericks. The 27-year-old moved to the New Orleans Pelicans after being waived by the Mavs but was again waived.
The Israeli moved to Nizhny Novgorod in February 2015.
