Eric Gordon is more than happy to be back where his professional career started.

In an interview with Janis Carr of The Orange County Register, Gordon expressed his delight of once again being an L.A. Clipper and ultimately helping the club to contend with playoffs looming around.

“It definitely means a lot (to be back),” he said. “This was a situation I’ve always wanted to be in and looking forward to. We got a lot of talented guys and I think I kind of fit the mold of how they play and how they do things. It’s great to be back.”

After being in the Houston Rockets since 2016, Gordon was finally shipped to Los Angeles in a multi-team trade, sparking a reunion for both sides.

Gordon notably started his career in the Clippers, being the franchise’s prized lottery pick in the 2008 Draft. After three years, he was eventually dealt to the then-New Orleans Hornets to complete the Chris Paul megadeal.

In 10 games played so far for the Clips this year, Gordon is tallying 10.6 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 boards while shooting 40.4 percent from three.
