The Lakers are currently 10th in the Western Conference with 34 wins and 37 losses. They are two games behind the sixth-placed Mavericks that they lost against last night.

According to Dennis Schroder, the goal of the Purple and Gold is to climb to the sixth seed which would give the team a direct playoff spot.

“Like I said, we just have to try to get the No. 6 seed, that’s our goal and our wish. And then go from there,” the German point guard said, via Dan Woike of Los Angeles Times.

Over the last four games the Lakers are 1-3, among them was the loss against the worst team in the West – the Rockets.
