Alabama basketball star Brandon Miller is receiving All-American honors after a controversial freshman season that saw the 6-foot-9 NBA prospect linked to a murder of a young single mother on January 15.

Miller was named to the AP’s First Team on Tuesday, joining Purdue’s Zach Edey, Houston’s Marcus Sasser, Kansas’ Jalen Wilson, and Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis.
