Yogev Ohayon inks new three-year extension with Maccabi

Point guard Yogev Ohayon has signed a three-year extension with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, keeping him at the club until 2018.

The club announced the move on their Twitter feed earlier today.

Ohayon, 28 joined Maccabi from Hapoel Jerusalem in 2011 and has gone on to win two domestic league titles and the Euroleague crown in 2014.

The Safed native is determined to bring more silverware to Tel Aviv, now that his future has been secured.

And it seems that his number one goal is winning back the Israeli league championship after Maccabi were eliminated in the semi-finals by Hapoel Eliat, who themselves lost in the finals to Hapoel Jerusalem.

“I am very happy to continue at the club, Maccabi is my home and this is where I belong,” he said. “We are committed to bring the [Israeli] championship back home”
