It took Russell Westbrook six games to finally record his first win with the Clippers as his team edged the Grizzlies 135-129.

The 34-year-old point guard, who played 34 minutes in this game and scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, talked after the game about his readiness to assume whatever role is required of him by the Clippers.

“Whatever is asked of me, whatever I need to do that night, I’ll do it,” Russ said, per ClutchPoints. “If it’s scoring, rebounding, defending, leadership, energy, whatever it is… I’m grateful and thankful that I had the opportunity be to be on the floor and play.”

This season Westbrook is averaging 15.3 points, 4 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 31.7 minutes per game.
