Los Angeles Clippers swingman Norman Powell is set to take therapy and treatment for his left shoulder subluxation for at least a week, sources told ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk. The club can only determine his timeline of return following the medical process.

It was already determined earlier this Thursday that Powell injured his shoulder and reports suggest that he might take multiple weeks to finally recover.

Powell sustained the injury during the third quarter of the Clippers’ 115-95 tough loss against the Golden State Warriors last Thursday, wherein he was limited to just 21 minutes.

Powell’s impending absence can only deal another major blow for the Clippers as they continue to slide down the Western Conference ladder. Despite several key roster additions, Los Angeles faces a challenging four-game losing skid following the All-Star break.

The veteran has been a reliable spark plug scorer off the bench for L.A. and is a frequent component of their closing lineup in crucial situations. His unavailability will only force coach Ty Lue to shuffle his deck for a temporary scoring backup behind Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

This 2022-23, Powell is averaging 16.6 points and 2.9 boards this season. He is also shooting 47.5 percent from the field across 54 games (7 starts).
