The NBA announced the reserves for the All-Star Game and Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis was not included.

According to Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, the snub could be advantageous for his team as Davis will have more time to rest.

“If he made it – great. If not – we got bigger business to take care of in terms of trying to make it into postseason,” Ham said postgame. “It’s unfortunate if he didn’t make it. I haven’t looked at it. I haven’t learned anything.

“OK good, he gets to get some rest and get ready for this home push. We have business to take care of. That’s a fun weekend, salute to the league, they do hell of a job putting on a great weekend of festivities from the game itself on down. It’s about Laker business right now. We got to get ourselves back to where we belong and that’s postseason.”

This season Davis is averaging 26.8 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 33.3 minutes per game. He is an 8-time All-Star.
