Steve Kerr on Warriors’ loss vs. Timberwolves: “We got what we deserved”

The Warriors lost against the Timberwolves in overtime (119-114), despite starting the fourth quarter with an 11-point lead.

It was the end of a three-game winning streak for Golden State. According to Steve Kerr, his team got what it deserved for giving away the win.

“I thought we had control of the game and then I thought we just kind of gift-wrapped it,” Kerr said postgame. “Not to take anything away from Minnesota, I thought they were great. They took advantage of our mistakes and our lack of execution. D-Lo got hot and guys made big shots.

“But we missed boxouts, we threw the ball away, we took a really difficult shots. So everything we had done to that point to have control of the game we stopped doing. So we got what we deserved.”
