Free-agent forward Andre Roberson was acquired by the Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of OKC Thunder, per the team’s release.

Roberson, who was known for his stint in the Thunder after being drafted by the club back in 2013, was one of the premiere perimeter lockdown defenders in the league. Sadly, a gruesome ACL injury in 2017-18 hampered his career and ultimately ruined his availability.

Now 31, Roberson managed to play seven seasons in the NBA including a short stint last year with the Brooklyn Nets. He has a career average of 4.5 points, 4.0 boards, 0.9 steals, and shot 47.3 percent from the field in 307 total games. He was named a member of the All-Defensive Second Team last 2016-17 season.

Given that shared familiarities with the Thunder organization, Roberson can only hope to deliver a huge step in this playing opportunity towards making it back to the NBA.
