Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox liked what he saw out of Malik Monk during Monday’s 118-111 overtime road victory vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves (19 points/2 rebounds/5 assists/3 steals/9-14 FG/1-1 FT).
(via Sacramento Kings):
“He was big for us, especially with just being able to get downhill and playmaking, not just his scoring ability. He had a lot of deflections, he had steals, being able to get out on the break. We feel like we’re one of the better transition teams in the league, and that’s something that we know that he can do, especially whenever he’s getting deflections and steals the way he was tonight and getting out. It’s not many guys who get down the court as quick as he does and who are as athletic as he is.”
