OG Anunoby to miss at least next four games for the Raps

Toronto Raptors wingman OG Anunoby will be out for at least the next four games as he will continue his left wrist injury recovery, the team announced Monday.

Anunoby sustained the injury last week in a loss against the Golden State Warriors after a nasty hard fall in his left arm and shoulder. He then proceeded to miss the Raps’ win over the Portland Trail Blazers on the weekend.

The Raptors exited Monday night in a loss against the Phoenix Suns, 114-106. They will fly to face the Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies for their next three games. As such, Anunoby will be re-evaluated as the club arrives home on Feb. 5 (H/T TSN’s Kayla Gray).

Anunoby’s name has been featured in various trade murmurs in the association, with the 2022-23 season’s trade deadline set for next week, Feb. 9.

The 25-year-old forward is tallying 16.9 points and grabbing 5.5 boards in 45 games he played so far. He is tied with Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler in steals average this season (2.1).
