Lakers newcomer Rui Hachimura made the debut with his new team in the game against the Spurs.
He came off the bench and played 22 minutes, during which he scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. After the game Hachimura talked about his experience playing for the Lakers.
“I loved it here. I loved the energy out there,” the 24-year-old forward said. “I think defensively we were pretty good today. We had a lot of steals, we got up and down in transition we got easy points. The energy out there was really good. It was the first one for me, it was great.”
This season Hachimura is averaging 13 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.
