Steven Adams’ injury update to tremble Grizzlies fans

The Memphis Grizzlies announced Tuesday that Steven Adams will be out for three to five weeks due to a PCL sprain in his right knee.

The said injury was sustained by Adams last Sunday against the Phoenix Suns, wherein Memphis fell short to a 112-110 loss.

The Grizzlies are very much expected to rely on the step up that will be made by Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman on Adam’s lengthy impending absence. Jaren Jackson Jr. is also expected to elevate his presence and defense at the front.

This season, Adams is averaging 8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks. He is currently leading the league in offensive rebounds registered per game (5.1).

Adams and the Grizzlies brass notably reached an extension last October, inking a two-year, $25.2-million contract.
