The Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum was interviewed following the Celtics’ 121-118 overtime win over the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden. Tatum scored 34 points with a career-high 19 rebounds.
“The fact of the matter is we lost. We lost the championship,” Tatum said, via ESPN. “No one win – we can’t bring that back. We can’t go back in time and change that.
“So we didn’t look at this as a rematch of the finals. It’s just one game.”
Despite a rough shooting night, Boston gutted out a tough win by hustling and playing with energy on the glass on both ends of the floor. The Celtics have now extended their win streak to eight games and will take their win streak to Toronto on Saturday night.
