Philadelphia 76ers wonder guard Tyrese Maxey has inked a shoe deal with the New Balance, the brand announced on Wednesday.

“As one of the most talented young players in the league, we’re excited to welcome Tyrese to the New Balance family,” Naveen Lokesh, New Balance’s Head of Global Sports Marketing Basketball, told Sports Illustrated’s Pat Benson. “He embodies the charisma and personality of the New Balance Brand. We are excited to start working with Tyrese to further highlight his style in the game and his desire to inspire the next generation, both on and off the court.”

For Maxey, excitement and thankfulness can only reign as he will join the New Balance family.

“I’m extremely excited,” Maxey said. “I’m extremely excited for the opportunity. It’s a dream come true to be a part of this brand. It’s great being on there with other great players and great company.”

The Sixers guard has joined a wonderful club of the New Balance brand, siding with Kawhi Leonard, Zach LaVine, Dejounte Murray, and Jamal Murray.

Maxey, 22, is averaging 21.2 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 boards in 45.7 percent shooting this season.
