Michael Jordan is widely regarded as one of the best if not the best player to ever play basketball. Usually, those who doubt his GOAT status say that LeBron James deserves it more.
Former NBA coach George Karl, who coached against MJ for many years, thinks that the six-time NBA champion is indeed the GOAT. He made a point on Twitter about what would Jordan’s numbers look in the league today.
“Anyone who is debating Michael’s GOAT status doesn’t realize he would average a 40 PPG triple double in the modern game!” Karl tweeted.
Jordan’s averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists over 1,072 regular season games in his career. He peaked in scoring in his third year in the league as he averaged 37.1 points per game.
