Jakob Poeltl has no other reasons to be worried about being stuck in the NBA’s rumor mill.

The big man is shrugging off the whispers associated with him while focusing on how he can help the San Antonio Spurs.

“I don’t really care how many rumors there are or not,” Poeltl said, courtesy of Jeff McDonald of San Antonio Express-News. “I don’t even really follow it. I just try to play my season, play my game and then try to contribute to winning.”

Poeltl, 28, stood up as one of the highly coveted trade targets within the association this season. The fact that he has been a reliable presence down low and an expiring asset for the Spurs, his name appearing around the league speculations isn’t that much of a surprise.

This season, Poeltl remains productive by averaging 11.9 points and 9.5 boards in hopes to be paid as an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

“I don’t really look stuff up,” Poeltl added. “I don’t have a Twitter (account) or anything like that. Most of it just goes over my head. It’s just part of the business and that’s how I deal with it.”
