Charles Barkley on the Clippers: “I’m starting to be concerned”

Following last night’s 122-91 road loss vs. the Denver Nuggets, Hall of Famer Charles Barkley said that he is starting to worry about the Los Angeles Clippers (the team he picked to win the Finals).

(via NBA on TNT):

“The reason I picked the Clippers at the start of season is I thought because Kawhi [Leonard] didn’t play last year that he would come back 100%. Same thing with Paul George. I thought they would play every game. And the reason I’m really starting to be concerned is when any basketball player needs to know how much he’s gonna play, how many shots he’s gonna get, his mentality is gonna change. Three weeks ago, Norman Powell was the best player on the court that night. He scored like 36 points, he was amazing. Paul and Kawhi are back, he gets three shots. That ain’t no fun for him. I know he wants to have them for that team to be great, but if you go to the gym and you’re like, ‘Man, I’m only gonna get five shots. They just want me to play defense and run around out there.’ That ain’t fun to go to work.”
