Apparently, Jae Crowder is looking to gain a money bag similar to P.J. Tucker.

As reported by Yahoo! Sports’ Jake Fischer, Crowder is eyeing to have a next big payday similar to the Philadelphia 76ers forward.

The 37-year-old Tucker notably earned his last lucrative paycheck possible from last offseason, as he signed a fully guaranteed three-year, $33.2 million contract with the Sixers. He came out in perhaps the best year of his career with the Miami Heat in the previous 2021-22 campaign where he averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 boards, and an efficient 41.5 percent shooting from a three-point distance.

In Tucker’s case, he had solid proof to show that he deserved that contract besides the championship pedigree that he can offer. But for Crowder, it appears that it will be difficult on his side.

The veteran remains away from basketball activities after agreeing with the Phoenix Suns to work for a trade. As he is currently sitting out and patiently waiting for another team to cater to him out, his value remains stagnant as it is with this season being his contract year

In order for him to receive a contract similar to Tucker, he must be able to show and entice suitors that he can at least contribute to his upcoming new team.

Though he is a coveted asset in today’s game because of his 3-and-D tendencies, Crowder certainly needs to earn that bag – and he can only hope to do that with the newest club that he’ll be landing in following that awaited official divorce with the Suns.
