San Antonio Spurs swingman Devin Vassell will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee, the team announced Thursday. The surgery will take place next week and he will be sidelined on an indefinite timetable.
Vassell has been dealing with knee issues that kept him inactive on the Spurs’ three of their last four games.
The former lottery pick of the 2020 Draft is having a breakout season this 2022-2023, averaging 19.4 points, 4.0 boards, and 3.6 assists in 44.5 percent shooting. He serves as one of the clubs’ coveted young pieces of their ongoing rebuild.
San Antonio is currently 14th in the Western Conference with a 12-26 record.
