Following another loss where plenty of points were given up, Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey said that his team has to start buying in on defense (lost 132-118 vs. the Chicago Bulls at United Center).

(via Bally Sports Detroit):

“Guarding your man. Guarding your yard is what we call it. One-on-one defense. We gave up 66 points in the paint, you’re not going to beat too many teams in this league defending like that. Our offense is moving, the ball is moving. We have some offensive minded players there, but defensively is our problem. 35 points in transition. We gotta buy in as a young team to the defensive end. We’re scoring enough points. Coach [Jerome] Allen stays up all night trying to come up with schemes and different things trying to stop them. But again, at the end of the day, it comes down to, ‘I’m guarding you one-on-one and I’m going to defend you without fouling.’”
