Despite having the second-largest contingent of players in the NBA, Canada national team has not been able to assemble its best roster yet.

One of the players that is yet to suit for the senior national team is Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies. The 26-year-old small forward represented his country only at a junior level.

Last May he made a three-year commitment to the national team. FIBA World Cup is next year and according to Canada’s head coach Nick Nurse, Brooks is on the ‘positive side’ of playing for his country, as reported by Tim Bontemps.

This season Brooks is averaging 17.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 30.6 minutes per game.
