Moe Wagner, Hamidou Diallo, Killian Hayes all ejected after heated scuffle in near-halftime of Magic-Pistons match

Tempers flared this Wednesday, as Moe Wagner, Hamidou Diallo, and Killian Hayes went off for a heated moment.

With the Detroit Pistons sporting a comfortable 19-point deficit entering halftime against the Orlando Magic, Wagner loses his team’s offensive possession with Hayes trailing him to steal the loose ball. Out of possible frustrated desperation, the big man hardly shoved Hayes towards the Pistons bench, which made Diallo quickly go at him and land a push from behind.

As his response, with the altercation starting to boil, the angered Hayes gave Wagner a punch at the back, with the center falling down to the Detroit huddle.

Officials and other players from both teams swiftly mobbed into the Pistons bench to end the altercation, with Wagner being assisted to get up and be parted away to walk off the court.

With what happened, referees slapped the three players involved with an automatic ejection, with Wagner receiving flagrant foul 2 while both Hayes and Diallo gained technical foul 2.

It remains yet to be seen what will be the verdict from the league, but it is safe to assume that fines or suspension will be imposed against Wagner, Diallo as well as Hayes.

Wagner capped off his appearance in the game with seven points and four rebounds in 13 minutes of play for Orlando. Meanwhile, Hayes tallied five markers and three dimes, with Diallo compiling 11 points and five boards to contribute for Detroit as a reserve.
