The New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley started in Quentin Grimes’ spot, scored 20 points, and hit a season-high six 3-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors.
“It’s always [tough] when someone is out, especially him. He brings a lot of defense,” Quickley said of Grimes. “He’s been guarding the best player on the [other] team pretty much all season. I stepped up as best I could, tried to guard Fred [VanVleet]. But QG’s a big part of this team – he brings shooting, athleticism, defense.”
