Last year the Pacers traded two-time NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis to the Kings and received Tyrese Haliburton in a multi-player trade.

So far both players are having good a season individually, but also the teams are doing better than expected. According to LeBron James, it is a rare occasion when a trade works for both teams.

“It’s very rare when a trade works well for both franchises,” the four-time NBA campion said after the Lakers were defeated by the Kings. “The Tyrese Haliburton and Domantas Sabonis trade has worked well for both franchises.

“I think De’Aaron and Domantas they complement each other very well. I think Sabonis ability to play at the elbow like his father used to do his ability to pass, his ability to rebound and score makes him very dynamic.

“And De’Aaron’s speed first of all it gives him a lot of space because you don’t want to step up because he will fly right by you. His ability to make mid-range shots and also he’s added a little post-up to his game where he can shoot over guys smaller than him elevating makes him dynamic too.”

This season Sabonis is averaging 18 points, 12.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.4 minutes per game.
