Jayson Tatum had a conversation with the Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla after the loss against he Clippers, who emphasized how it all starts with the 24-year-old small forward. He responded by dropping 44 points in the win against the Lakers.
After the game Tatum talked about his conversation with Mazzulla and the importance of his leadership.
“He pointed me out,” Tatum said. “Basically told me it starts with me. Last game I played like sh*t. He basically told me that. He told me that the way I play the rest of the guys gonna follow.
“I went down the line, went down JB, went down to Smart, said it was our responsibility and that we want to be champions. If we want to get to that points, it’s a responsibility each and every night.”
