D’Angelo Russell compared his younger self to Timberwolves teammate Anthony Edwards after Wednesday’s 121-115 home victory vs. the Indiana Pacers where Edwards went for 26 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals.

(via Minnesota Timberwolves):

“I’m more impressed with his consistency, honestly. He’s becoming a pro. When you’re young in the league, you gotta learn how to be a pro if you don’t come from maybe the collegiate level that’s kinda preparing you for it. He was a one-and-done guy, so he didn’t get the opportunity, kinda like me. So him being in the league at a young age, he’s learning how to be a pro on and off the floor. And you can see the development, him focusing on his craft and his consistency with his routine. I think that’s what’s allowing him to be consistent. Tonight, he was kinda banged up early. I wasn’t sure how he was going to play it out. But, man, he came through, and he led, and we followed.”
