Cavs’ Donovan Mitchell: “What’s done is done, and I’m happy to be where I am”

Donovan Mitchell is back in New York, but up until a few months ago, he could play at MSG with the Knicks. That didn’t happen, the New York native then signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers and then showed up as an opponent.

Donovan Mitchell expressed his feelings after the game to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps:

“I think more about playing in front of my family and friends,” Donovan Mitchell said. “What’s done is done, and I’m happy as hell to be where I am. In the end, this decision was made and I don’t think I’ve been happier since I’ve been in the league. But I think for me it will always be a motivation to come back and play well in my hometown, but you could say that about anyone. But with what happened this summer, it’s over, it happened and I’m happy to be with the Cavaliers.”
