Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey explained why it’s so difficult to stop New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle when he’s making shots following a very efficient outing last night where Randle had 36 points (14-24 FG, 6-13 3-PT, 2-4 FT) in a 140-110 road win.

“He’s a power forward. He’s an old school power forward who can stretch the floor. And when he’s shooting the ball the way he’s shooting it, usually he’s getting it going to the rim, to the basket. When he’s shooting the ball the way he shooted tonight, it’s tough. A lot of his shots were contested early, but when he saw those first couple go in, it was difficult. It was going to be a long night. He had one of those games I think against Minnesota not too long ago.”
