Darvin Ham addresses Lakers’ loss vs Pacers

After winning five of their last six games, the Lakers were defeated by the Pacers (116-115) at crypto.com Arena. The Purple and Gold wasted a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, allowing Indiana to come back and take the win.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham took responsibility for not keeping his team organized. “I think that’s not a taking advantage of in terms of playing downhill, playing with force, continue to move the ball,” he said. “This is one of those things – you get a lead like that the free-throw line allows you to maintain the lead.

“I wish we were a lot more aggressive, continue playing with pace and also continue to be organized and move the ball and that falls on me. I take responsibility for that

“And also late in the game just giving up offensive rebounds. It’s been something that’s plagued us the last couple of games. Indiana is a really good team, a team with shooters everywhere.

“You can’t allow them to get second third chances at open looks. Once they miss, it’s a lot of long rebounds. You got to have active hands and feet to go corral them and bring them in. Again, I have to do a better job at keeping us organized during those stretches offensively.”
