Duke freshman Dariq Whitehead recently showed love to Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum for helping him get through the process of dealing with a similar foot injury Tatum had during his college days.

(via Mark Watson):

“It was definitely scary, but just being able to have someone like Jayson Tatum, who’s been through the same thing I’ve been through. Just talk to him and tell me what was going through his mind when he was here. It’s kinda the same thing for me. Do I have a lot of time? How quick do I need to get back on the court? Stuff like that. But just him helping me get through this process. Telling me to, ‘Slow down. Don’t rush. Everything we need and you’re waiting for is gonna be there in the future.’ So just making sure I took my time.”
