Jayson Tatum: “I’m grateful for the teammates that I have”

Jayson Tatum, the No. 4 scorer in the league, was interviewed following the Boston Celtics’ 125-112 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at TD Garden.

Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 68 points in the Celtics victory, and the team gets back on track after snapping their win streak on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.

On blocking Luka Doncic, who had 42 points for the Mavericks, late in the game to ice it, Tatum said, “I told Luka I had to block it because I didn’t want him to dunk on me.”

On the Celtics roster and their depth, Tatum said, “I think that’s what makes us really special. I’m grateful for the teammates that I have. They make my job easier, and I try to do the same for them.”
