Denver’s Michael Malone pays tribute to the Colorado Springs shooting victims

Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone started off his postgame press conference on Sunday with a heartfelt message regarding the Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub shooting.

(via Denver Nuggets):

“Our thoughts, our prayers, are love, goes out to all those affected by last night’s shooting in Colorado Springs. Another senseless mass shooting. I believe that’s our 34th mass shooting this year in our country, which eclipses 2019. But more importantly back in our state, for me, coaches, players, our entire organization, just a heartfelt condolences to all those affected, those that were killed, those that were injured, and those that had to suffer through that trauma last night. So I just wanted to start off with that because I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t mention that.”
