Star swingman Paul George (right knee soreness) was ruled out by the L.A. Clippers for their Monday matchup against the Utah Jazz, per NBA.com’s Mark Medina.

The deactivation obviously serves as a precautionary measure by the Clippers for George, who took an early leave on the team’s Saturday dub over the San Antonio Spurs after sustaining knee soreness. He was out for the second half against the Spurs, finishing with 21 points, one assist, and one rebound in 15 minutes.

Possessing a deep frontcourt haul, Los Angeles has no issues with Terance Mann, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, and Norman Powell ready to step up. Kawhi Leonard might see added exposure amid restrictions from his knee issues.

George is averaging 23.8 points, 6.0 boards, and 4.2 assists in 46.0 percent shooting for the Clippers in 10 games this season.
