Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk has been ejected prematurely from the team’s 137-129 dub over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
After making a layup, Monk shoved and celebrated against Pistons guard Killian Hayes, which triggered an assessment of technical foul 2 on the part of the officials.
Monk finished with eight points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists, two steals and a rebound in 19 minutes, with the Kings moving up 9-6 to the league standings.
