In 2021, the home court of the Miami Heat was renamed to FTX Arena after one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges – FTX – bought the naming rights.
However, the company filed for bankruptcy last week and will not be able to fulfill its future financial obligations. Accordingly, the arena’s naming rights are once again available for purchasing.
Alex Deluca of Miami New Times reports that a strip club by the name “Booby Trap” has made a $5 million bid for the arena naming rights, proposing the name “Booby Trap Arena.”
