Though he is currently dwelling on the worst start of his career, Klay Thompson isn’t shying away from his personal stance that he is indeed a Warrior personified.

More than anything else, he is proud to wear his resiliency badge and the production he provided in Golden State to win its fourth title in eight years.

“Yeah, that’s true, but I feel like I deserve more credit for battling through all that injury shit,” Thompson told Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes. “I helped a team win a championship last year and people still want to discredit what you do.

“You know what I’ve learned about that? You just can’t please everybody. But for myself individually, it’s about rediscovering that form of efficiency and that two-way play that made me great. And I feel like I’m well on my way there.”

The All-Star swingman has fought criticisms about his rusty beginnings, and famously the outspoken TNT analyst Charles Barkley, who hit him with his personal notion that he “isn’t that guy anymore.”

This season, Thompson is currently averaging a lowly 14.7 points, the worst since his averages in his rookie year last 2011-2012. To add up his woes, he is registering career-lows in field goal shooting efficiency (35.1 percent) and from three-point distance (33 percent).

As such, Thompson is vying to play a healthy 2022-23 season, wherein he endured two-straight years of inactivity from ACL and Achilles tear.

For him, he’ll be back soon that is what the critics have imagined.

“I have no doubt in my mind I’ll get back to form,” Thompson further told Hayes. “I was there last year. I was right there. We won a championship. And I have no doubt we’ll get back there. The proof is in the pudding. But there’s one more thing I’ll say: You can’t take away the hardware.”
