Zach Collins sustains fracture in left leg fibula, out for Spurs in 2-4 weeks

San Antonio Spurs big man Zach Collins has suffered from a fractured fibula.

According to Jeff McDonald of San Antonio Express-News, an MRI on Collins’s left leg shows that there is a non-displaced fracture of his fibula head. He is set to miss for around a two-to-four week timetable.

Collins wasn’t able to suit up for the Spurs’ last two games after sustaining the leg injury on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran center is averaging 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 blocks in nine games coming off as a reserve this season.

Since he entered the league in 2017 as a lottery pick for the Portland Trail Blazers, injuries have been a major concern of Collins in his professional career. Last campaign after inking a multi-year contract with San Antonio, he only appeared in 28 games.
