An anonymous league executive believes that Kyrie Irving’s basketball days might be already over.

Speaking with a handful of NBA GMs, The Athletic’s Sam Amick noted that Irving could not play anymore.

“I think Kyrie might not play in the NBA again,” one general manager told Sam Amick.

Some executives polled by Amick were more confident Irving would get another chance, but only one of the five top executives and six other executives expressed their intents in adding the embattled guard to their roster.

“He will not be on (our team), but someone will (want him),” an executive said. “They always do for his talent.”

Added to his recent controversies and the injury issues he has, there is no doubt that teams are truly considering the All-Star guard as a risky asset.

Irving remains barred from team activities after his antisemitism stances, and his willingness to fulfill the Brooklyn Nets’ conditions can only add plenty reasons if other clubs will still consider him.
