James Worthy reacts to Lakers losing vs Cavaliers

The Cavaliers handed the 7th loss of the season to the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena. Los Angeles led by six points at a half, but two strong quarters by Cleveland secured a 4-point win for the visitors (114-100).

Lakers legend James Worthy shared his thoughts on the game, saying that his former team is developing a habit of allowing their opponents to have a strong second half.

“It’s unfortunate that these type of trends are starting to be a habit: third quarter, not being able to score points in the second half,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “It’s been trending like this. We experienced a bit of this last year.

“I was a little bit taken back in this game. I just thought they put them on the line too much, the execution wasn’t there, there was no ball movement. Players who I think should be involved – AD just not really in sync.

“And they just seem to go to sleep for a little bit and just allowed Cleveland to… They got to have a meeting of the minds to figure out how they’re going to play and they’re going to disallow teams coming back in the third quarter and doing what they did.”

This loss puts the Lakers at 2-7 this season, while the Cavaliers improved to 8-1.
