‘Frustrated’ Kawhi Leonard not joining Clippers’ road trip; set to miss six-straight games

The injury woes on the side of Kawhi Leonard continues to pill up and build unwanted disappointments.

According to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, coach Ty Lue announced that Leonard won’t be available for the Los Angeles Clippers’ road trip against the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs as he continues to manage his right knee. This marks that he is slated to miss six-straight games for the club.

Lue noted that Leonard is “frustrated” on his current condition, but reiterates that he is getting much better.

Leonard missed the previous games of the Clippers after experiencing soreness in his knee. He already took medications and it appears that he is yet to fully recover.

Leonard suited up for two games for L.A. this season as a second unit member, averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 boards and 2.0 assists. He missed the entirety of last season taking a recovery from his partial ACL tear surgery.

Upon his absence, the Clippers went 0-3 already. As such, the franchise can only hope that he’ll be ready to go when urgency rises.
