After missing a game against the Timberwolves due to low back issues, Anthony Davis returned to action against the Nuggets.
The 29-year-old forward scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in 37 minutes, helping the Lakers earn their first win of the season. Late in the game it was visible that AD was feeling uncomfortable in his back.
“It was killing me tonight,” Davis said about his back. “But try to do whatever I can do to help the team get the win. If that means fighting through it, we’re gonna fight through it.
“I got two days in between games to try to get it right for New Orleans on Wednesday. Come and do everything I can to make sure that we get this done.”
This season Davis is averaging 23.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2 assists in 35.4 minutes per game.
