Following previous days of public outcry, Kyrie Irving has finally deleted his controversial tweet that displays an antisemitic film, as confirmed by ESPN’s Nick Friedell.

After the Nets’ loss against the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week, Irving posted the Amazon link of “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” a 2018 film based on the 2015 book by the same name.

The movie was heavily condemned and was flagged by the Rolling Stones upon its antisemitic themes, content and conspiracies.

The seven-time All-star drew flak inside and outside of the NBA world, wherein the Brooklyn Nets and owner Joe Tsai have even released their statements condemning any forms of hate beliefs and speech. For its part, the NBA also issued a release, denouncing the said concerning matter.

As the Nets fell to conference-worst 1-5 after a depressing Sunday loss against the Indiana Pacers, Irving had a viral back-and-forth verbal argument with Friedell about the film in the postgame news conference.

It remains yet to be determine what were the sudden motives of Irving to finally remove the questionable post.
