Darvin Ham on Lakers’ turnovers: “Disappoints me, but I’m not frustrated”

Apart from the poor three-point shooting, the Lakers are also turning the ball over a lot. Most recently, Los Angeles made 22 turnovers in a loss against the Timberwolves.

The Purple and Gold are the third worst team in the NBA in terms of turnovers per game with 16.2. Only the Warriors and the Clippers turn the ball over more often.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham admits that it the turnovers disappoint him, but he is not frustrated. “The biggest thing for me the most glaring stat it’s the turnovers,” he said after the Minnesota game. “We give them 22 turnovers and 25 points. It’s very hard to win in this league when that’s the case.

“We have to do a better job of valuing possessions. It’s not an exact science. You’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t do almost. You get a stop, you push it to break, it’s a mishap, mishandled ball, something happens and you’re kicking yourself in a butt, like, you should’ve slowed it down. All in all, I felt most of them were competitive turnovers. Disappoints me, but I’m not frustrated.”
