The Lakers continued their losing streak with a loss against the Timberwolves (111-102). After five regular season games the Purple and Gold are winless.
The Minnesota game was the first time for Russell Westbrook since his rookie year when he was coming off the bench. According to former NBA champion Paul Pierce, if it was him in that position, it would mess with his mind.
“If I’m Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverly is starting over me at any stage of my career my Mental would not be right with this team 🤷🏾♂️come on now Truth is Truth let’s keep it real,” he tweeted.
Then Pierce called for the Lakers to blow up the team. “Time fa tha Lakes to bow it up,” he tweeted.” The Truth followed with another tweet slamming the team’s starting backcourt (Patrick Beverley and Lonnie Walker IV). “Lakers starting back court tonight worst in the league Truth is Truth,” Pierce wrote.
