The Pelicans announced today that the team has exercised a fourth-year option on guard Kira Lewis Jr. and a third-year option on guard/forward Trey Murphy III.

Lewis, a 21-year-old point guard, is yet to play this season. He is out with a knee injury. Last season the former first round pick averaged 5.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2 assists in 14.2 minutes per game.

For Murphy this is his sophomore year. The 22-year-old shooting guard is averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1 assist in 30 minutes per game for New Orleans.
